The Board of Health manages and oversees the transfer station, responds to noise, trash, health issues, abandoned buildings, septic issues and other. The Board of Health submitted three abandoned buildings for demolition, inspected two more properties and will submit for same process, disposed of a 440-gallon backlog of paints, sorted a backlog of hazardous chemicals for disposal, moved tires inside to end mosquito issues, stored propane tanks in a safe building, and created signs to satisfy Mass DEP.

This is an elected board, no current vacancies.

1. Recycling-conscious ambassadors to watch single stream activity and gently help our customers to understand items not allowed in system.
2. Push wheeled magnet occasionally to pick up nails on driving areas and police area for trash.
3. Those with carpentry skills needed to install door to book trailer, and possibly help with upgrade to the take-it-or-leave-it shed.
