The Tantasqua Education Foundation (Ted.) is a non-profit community foundation that raises money to award grants submitted by teachers for innovative, teacher-initiated projects that expand learning opportunities for students in the elementary schools of Brimfield, Brookfield, Holland, Sturbridge, and Wales, as well as the Tantasqua Junior, Senior, and Vocational schools. Ted. funds grants that supplement rather than substitute for programs already included in the Tantasqua and Union 61 budget. It distributes an average of $20,000 in grants each year.

The Tantasqua Education Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors that meets monthly and is open to the public.

Accepting New Members?: Yes

Volunteer Opportunities: The TED board is structured so that all towns in the Tantaqua & Union 61 School District are represented, but new members are welcome as board seats become vacant. TED welcomes volunteers and members to work on committees, including Events, Grants, Social Media, Finance, and Sponsorship. TED sponsors three events annually (Tastefully Ted., Brunch with Ted., and Trot with Ted.), each requiring help from many volunteers.

Financial Donations: Financial donations accepted and are tax-deductible.
